Photography is enjoyable in all of it’s different mediums. The internet allows a viewer access to more photography than they might in a lifetime, and to be exposed to hundreds of different photographers ranging from the famous to the unknown and their various styles. Photography books allow a photographer to distill a singular vision and disseminate it as a completed project to be taken in toto. However, prints offer an opportunity that is wholly singular to their nature.
As an object the print exists for the sole purpose of being created to be considered, contemplated, taken in as something to be meditated upon and scrutinized; for it’s meaning, technical proficiency, and general worthiness. I love prints. I have dozens but not hundreds and I feel this is an oversight. There’s still time to correct it.
Revisiting a bit of subject matter today. The first image of the “Little Black Box” is to be found here. I do love this little Holga a bit more than my Holga 120S. Ease of 35mm mostly.
